What is Galvanizing?
-
Galvanizing is the process of coating steel or iron with zinc to prevent corrosion. Common methods include hot-dip galvanizing, where metal is dipped in molten zinc, and electro-galvanizing, which uses electroplating. The zinc layer acts as a protective barrier and sacrificially corrodes to protect the base metal, making galvanizing durable, cost-effective, and ideal for construction, automotive, and outdoor uses.

Metal PlatingMetal Plating
Corrosion is a natural phenomenon, a chemical process rooted in science. Metals have a tendency after production and shaping to revert back to their lower energy, more natural state of ore (e.g. iron ore). The tendency is known as the Law of Entropy.
It is very rare to find metals in their pure state naturally, more commonly, they are combined with other elements to form ores. In the steel industry, great efforts are expended to turn naturally occurring iron ore into steel.Read more -

At Al Ajab Metal Galvanizing, we offer high-quality Steel Coating Services designed to protect your metal structures from corrosion, harsh weather conditions, and mechanical wear. Our advanced coating solutions ensure long-lasting durability, superior aesthetics, and enhanced performance for your steel components.
Steel structures are constantly exposed to environmental elements such as moisture, chemicals, and extreme temperatures. Without proper protection, they can corrode and deteriorate over time, leading to costly repairs or replacements. Our steel coating services are designed to provide a protective barrier that enhances the strength and longevity of your metal assets.Read more
How corrosion affects your metal
Corrosion is a natural phenomenon, a chemical process rooted in science. Metals have a tendency after production and shaping to revert back to their lower energy, more natural state of ore (e.g. iron ore). The tendency is known as the Law of Entropy. It is very rare to find metals in their pure state naturally, more commonly, they are combined with other elements to form ores. In the steel industry, great efforts are expended to turn naturally occurring iron ore into steel.
Corrosion is the reverse process of metallurgy. In other words, the energy used to transform ore into a metal is reversed as the metal is exposed to oxygen and water. As the metal is exposed to these elements, the corrosion process begins oxides are formed on the steel surface and in some cases combine with sulfides and carbonates.
The study of corrosion remains crucial as its impact grows. Corrosion costs the U.S. over $400 billion annually, about 3% of GDP, highlighting the need for better understanding and mitigation. Increased awareness can make our world safer and more sustainable.
